About Eleanor
Eleanor grew up in Cortland, NY and as a child found joy in reading stories. After she retired from accounting, she decided to pursue her dream of writing children’s books.
The COVID pandemic inspired her to create her P.J. Bear stories as a way to stay connected to her grandchildren during lockdown. P.J. Bear is a stuffed bear that has lived at Eleanor’s house since her children were young. She started imaging what sorts of games and activities P.J. would play if he came to life. Writing and sharing P.J.’s stories became a way to connect with her grandchildren and keep their imaginations and joyfulness alive.
Now she is excited for more children to enjoy P.J. Bear’s adventures. Grandma Bear says “P.J. Bear is a cute stuffed bear who came to life. My stories share P.J.’s adventures as he learns, explores, and pretends and encourages his reader to join in.”
